I’m a huge, huge fan of the ‘autism’ podcast which has been around for a little over a year. I love the way that they analyze each episode. It is a bit of an obsession, as I only listen to the latest episodes. Every episode has a different theme, and each of them are great as a way to examine ideas about our own beliefs and our own minds.

The latest episode of AutismVox was a great way to examine a few ideas that I hold dear. One of them is that a lot of the time autism is a result of our own actions rather than our parents or our environment. Another is that autism is actually a condition of living. A third is that autism is not a disorder, but more of a set of ideas that can be a potential solution to a problem.

In the episode’s first segment, the writers talk about the idea of an autism “dome.” The idea is that the person with autism is unable to put their own thoughts into words, making it difficult to understand and interact with others. The writers argue that this is actually a result of the brain not fully developing. The autism dome is a metaphor for the autism spectrum, but in a way that’s much more like a dome.

That’s right, a dome. A dome for autism. A dome for autism. A dome for autism. A dome for autism. A dome for autism. A dome for autism. A dome for autism. A dome for autism.
