I have a gray bookcase in my dining room. It looks like a bookcase, but I don’t know how you would use it. When I was building the bookcase, I tried to get rid of the white and gray colors, but they stuck like glue. So here’s a challenge for you. For those of you that are curious, this is a gray bookcase.
Blackreef is a completely different story, but you can see how it looks from here. It’s a white bookcase, and it’s as if the bookcase were made out of black wood.
It just happens to be that if you just start with an empty bookcase (which is the only way you can start), you could end up with a bookcase that looks like this. But if you start out with this gray bookcase… well, that’s just not happening. This is a bookcase that does not fit the needs of a bookcase. Its a bookcase that is too wide to be usable and it is just too tall.
I can understand if you’re just trying to make a bookcase with something flat like this. You could of course use a more rounded edge. But even in that case it just doesn’t look good, as it looks like this. And if you try to use it as a table with the bookcase on top of it, or even just a big desk with a bookcase on top of it, well, you’d end up just looking like this.
To make it more usable, I’d recommend you take the bookcase’s top and glue it to the wall. Or you could try to make it into a sturdy surface with different materials, like some kind of faux wood or metal. But don’t do it just because you need a bookcase. You’d be very surprised at how many people just make bookcases to make life easier.
The main goal of this tutorial is to have a simple, but beautiful, project. I don’t want to do it here. I want to be able to do it all the time. So if you try to use this tutorial, take some time to think about it and build some wall art to do it. Then you can make your own wall art for your projects and use it as a tabletop. Youll need to build it in order to do it all the time.
I do not want to do it here either. There are a lot of steps. So if you want a more detailed tutorial, then this isnt the place for you.
I am soooo excited about this. Ive been putting together tables and shelves for a while now and have been dying to finally have one for my office. Ive been wanting to do something with this color for several years now. I wish I could create a tutorial, but I have no idea how to do it.
The way I see it is that you’re putting together a gray bookcase to hold your books. I don’t know if it’s the color or the shape, but I think it’s the shape that’s working for me.
