A while back I was listening to a podcast and was listening to an interview with author and writer Lisa Marie. She spoke about the differences between the kinds of self-awareness we can have. There is a difference between mindfulness and self-awareness.
In a nutshell, mindful self-awareness is when we are aware of what we’re doing in the moment, without judgment. Self-awareness says, “Hey, I’m thinking about this, but I’m not judging myself.” Mindfulness is the opposite of mindful self-awareness, it’s when we judge ourselves.

Both of these things are important parts of mindfulness.
A mindful person is aware of his or her thoughts, emotions, and sensations. A mindful person is also able to pay attention in a certain way. A mindful person is also able to change their body in a certain way. This is why a lot of this research is focusing on the ability to be aware of our thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
This is why you should always be aware of your thoughts. You should never be too aware because if you are not aware of your thoughts, emotions, and sensations, you are not as conscious of them and you can’t adjust them.
The problem is that we tend to not be very aware of our thoughts, emotions, and sensations. We just can’t seem to get the hang of it. The problem is that being aware is actually difficult and almost always requires some practice, which is why mindfulness is such a popular topic. We are not aware of the thoughts that we are having because we think it’s a sign of weakness that we can’t easily turn away from them. We think that we must always be on guard.
