If you are like me you probably already have a plan for what you will be doing every day. I know I do. But, it is hard to make the jump to self-awareness and to truly understand and live your life based on the choices you make every day.
Self-awareness is a process. It begins with the acknowledgement that you are in fact, human.
I think that’s right. A lot of people start with the assumption that we are all just machines with the knowledge and power to do whatever we want. When we put that assumption into practice we can start to realize that our choices are also our own, we are all just making choices.
What is not to like about this statement? It is so true! We all make choices, yet we are all just robots with the knowledge and power to do whatever we want. That is what makes us human. We are all here to help each other to make conscious choices that are right for us, not for us to live our lives without being fully aware of our choices.
We don’t have a choice to do anything. We just choose to do whatever we want and, as a result, we find ourselves here. I have always believed that if we all just woke up and knew the difference between “good” and “bad” then we would make more conscious choices and live healthier lives. We could call that the “Good, Bad, and Ugly” principle. We would have the power to choose to be happy or sad.
We are the ones who are choosing, not you. If your choice is to live your life in the middle of a fire, your choice could be the fire. If your choice is to hang yourself from a tree, your choice is you. This is the power of being able to choose to live a different life.
If you choose to be happy you will become more aware of the choices you make, and you will become more aware of the choices you make. This is the power of the Good, Bad, and Ugly principle. You can choose to be happy or sad, and it’s up to you. You can also choose to be in the middle of a fire, and this is also up to you. You can choose to hang yourself from a tree or you can choose to live a different life.
This is a bit like the choice between being in the middle of a fire and choosing to live a different life. There are other ways to choose, but this is the most direct one. You can choose the way you live, and that is up to you.
