I’ve always thought it was odd that the words for “number” and “rhymes with” were different in that they didn’t have the same spelling. The correct word for “number” is “zero” and the correct word for “rhymes with zero” is “zero”. So why does this matter? The answer is simple.
Because the way we are taught to read and write is to spell the word exactly how we see it. So when I see words like “number” or “zero,” I think of spelling them as “0” and “0,” respectively. The way we are taught to read and write actually means that if we see the word zero spelled as zero, then we automatically assume that the word is spelled as “zero.
In fact, when we hear the word zero, it is spelled as zero. When we hear the word zero rhyme with zero, we assume the word is spelled as zero. The only way we can check to prove otherwise is to try to learn the word to rhyme with it and see if it rhymes with zero.
You can just spell it as zero, or you can just spell it as zero- or, the way I learned, zero-ly. In fact, I don’t think any of the three spellings are really that difficult to learn, but I’ll be happy to try to prove it for you.
We’re not talking about a very difficult math problem, we’re talking about a very simple one. Just by learning the letters for the word zero, you can learn the word. I know because when I was teaching this course, I taught people the three letter word “zero” to rhyme with zero. And I know because there’s a very short video on YouTube that shows this.

Again this is a simple one, just memorize the three letter words for zero. We’re not talking about something with infinite variables here, just three letters.

Zero is a word that you can rhyme with zero. That’s it. So you’ve got zero, zero, zero, zero, zer0, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero. And then you can also add a zero to the end of the word zero, which rhymes with zero and zero zero zero zero zero zero.
The idea behind rhyming with zero is that you’re starting with zero, as you can’t make a zero rhyme with zero. You can make a zero rhyme with zero, but that’s kind of weird because zero is not a word that rhymes with zero. Zero is a word that rhymes with zero. So the key is to make sure that zero rhymes with zero.
