Office space is such a big deal these days. There are so many people who are working in offices and/or having to do meetings and/or writing emails. I get asked all the time if I still need a desk or a chair in my office. I think the answer is a resounding NO. A desk is a necessity. A chair is a necessity. A desk is just a necessity.
But of course you can work at a desk without a chair. It’s just a desk. But a chair is still a necessity.
Office space is a big deal because you’re working in a space that is different than your office or workplace. This is particularly true if the space you’re working in is one that is filled with other people or with people you know.
This is a big mistake that people make. You don’t need to be a good boss to be a good boss. You can be a very good boss if you know you can make a really good boss. In the movie office space, in a typical day, a manager might send a memo to one of her subordinates with the following information: “Our office is in the basement of a building, three blocks from our offices. That’s what a typical day looks like in office space, but the truth is that most managers have no clue how they work. Most managers don’t really know how they work at all. Most managers don’t think they do anything, they think they just sit around and wait for the boss to do something and then the boss does it, and that’s about it.
