The game offers so much of the same story as its predecessor.
The game’s storyline is very similar to the last, with the main character losing his memory and getting trapped on deathtrap island. The gameplay is very similar too, with combat being an element of Deathloop’s unique combat system. But there is a small twist that you won’t see in the end credits.
The main difference between the two games is that in Deathloop, you are always the one controlling the narrative. A few games ago we asked you to make your own “choices” in Deathloop, and you did. You chose to be in charge of the narrative and the story, and you chose to follow the quest.
A story like that has to end with a certain point. The only way to stop it is to kill all the people involved. It’s the closest thing to a “point of no return” in games.
Maria Sebas is one of the main characters in Deathloop. After being shot in the chest by a sniper, she has to go back to the island to die. She’s now trying to get a new memory back to prove to the world that she is indeed who she says she is. She’s doing all the right things, like going back to the island to save her friends and getting a new memory and then walking the plank to avoid the wrath of the Visionaries.
Shes about as convincing as a person waking up on a beach to say, “I’m a man. I’m dead.” She also seems to be a bit of a dick and a bit of an asshole.
You are a person trying to live your life normally. You are a person with a dream. You are a person taking a chance on a new beginning. You are a person with a new look. You are a person who is a little bit bitchy and a little bit mean. You are a person who is not as good at making friends as you thought you were. It’s a good day to be a person.
