The problem comes when we feel like we’re just trying to do everything at once, when in reality we could be better off trying to find a balance between doing one thing and another. I think the problem comes when we think we’re in control when in reality we’re not. A lot of times in our lives we feel like we’re in control. We feel like when we decide to go to a restaurant, we are in control.
We are in control when we are in control of our thoughts and our actions. If we are in control of our thoughts and our actions, then we have no reason to feel like we are in control of our lives.
I remember being told a story the other day about a person who was in love with his best friend. In the story, they were both at university and both had a crush on the other person. This person made the mistake of thinking that his love interest was the one he would love. When the truth was revealed, this person realized that he could never love anyone else. It was then that he realized that he could never ever love anyone else.
The thing is, this person doesn’t have to worry about anyone else, because he is in control of himself. He can be in control of his own emotions and actions, and he won’t fear anyone else. He can be in control of his own thoughts and emotions, and we won’t fear him. This is the secret of the self-actualized person: He is not afraid of his feelings.
